Jaipur: Opposition BJP in Rajasthan on Wednesday said that the Gehlot government has nothing to boast of after completion of three years in office as its presence was felt only in controversial CDs, advertisements and scams.
"No can perceive government in hospitals or schools or in any other place where it should be, but the government could be found active in CDs, advertisements, speeches and also in the comments of judiciary," Deputy Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha Ghanshyam Tiwari said.
Gehlot completed three years in office but not a single thing is there which could be termed as its achievement, Tiwari said at a function in the Pinkcity Press club in Jaipur.
"No teachers in schools no doctors in hospitals, farmers are not getting more than two hours of electricity, there are no fresh recruitments, Jalmahal controversial issue is there in which the government must issue a white or status paper to clarify who are the culprits, officers of politicians? (for irregularity in leasing out the property)," he said.
Tiwari also claimed that the Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana, a scheme which Gehlot was highlighting as its own was actually initiated in the previous BJP regime.
"Gehlot has a council of ministers with immature understanding. The judiciary has also made scathing comments on a number of occasions against it," Tiwari said.
This government can be seen active in CDs, speeches and advertisements, he alleged.
Tiwari, a former education minister, also said that deteriorating law and order situation and a lose grip over bureaucracy are among the highlights of the government.
He added that BJP will contest the next Assembly elections under the leadership of the party's state president Arun Chaturvedi and Leader of Opposition Vasundhara Raje.
