Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday asked the public representatives and administrative officers to sit together to redress public grievances at gram panchayat, sub division and district levels in order to provide relief to the people at the local level.
She said that the grievance redressal system should be made so efficient that people need not to come to Jaipur with their grievances.
Raje was addressing the members of the council of ministers, MLAs, senior officials and Collector/SPs of Bharatpur, Bikaner and Udaipur divisions in the opening session of the last day of Collector-SP conference.
She reviewed the current status of disposal of grievances which were received during the 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar' programme in those three divisions, a release said.
The Chief Minister said only such grievances, which could not be disposed at district level, should reach to Jaipur. Raje said that District Collector with all MLAs and other district level officers will organise 'Jansunvai' or public hearing on every third Thursday of each month.
KK Pathak, Special Secretary to CM gave presentation on new initiatives of the state government, different levels of public hearings, status of various divisions regarding disposal of grievances, impacts of 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar' programme, division wise progress of CM announcements and some other issues, the release added.
Meanwhile, Raje also condoled the death of Amarnath pilgrims in cloudburst in Jammu and Kashmir.
Raje in a statement said that two pilgrims from the state were among those killed in the tragedy and expressed her grief.
Three persons were killed and 19 others injured after a cloudburst struck near the base camp of Amarnath yatra along the shorter 16-km Baltal route to the cave shrine in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district.
