Realme is all set to launch its new smartphone Realme U1 in India today. The smartphone is one of the first commercially available Android handsets to pack one of the most powerful mid-range processors, the MediaTek Helio P70. The device will be sold exclusively via Amazon.in and one can expect the Realme U1 price in India to be between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000. Realme will live stream the event on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and its official website. The company has set up a dedicated page on the Realme website as well.
The Realme smartphone could have a 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display could be bigger than 6 inches. Realme U1 will come with a ‘dewdrop notch’, which means the phone will have higher screen-to-body ratio. The Realme U1 will be one of the first commercially available Android handsets to sport the 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor. The SoC is clocked at 2.1 GHz and works with ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The processor is exceptionally powerful and has proven itself against its contemporaries like the Snapdragon 636 and the Kirin 710.
It is believed that the phone could be backed by a 4230mAh battery with VOOC Super Charge support. A recent teaser from the company indicates a horizontally stacked dual-rear camera setup as well as a fingerprint sensor at the back.
