New Delhi: After smartphone displays that spill at the edges, Samsung is reportedly working on a foldable smartphone, which could land into the users' hands as soon as January next year.
Dubbed Project Valley, the foldable smartphone is said to be currently under testing with two hardware configurations that include the use of Snapdragon 620 processor or Snapdragon 820.
A concept video of the rumoured device hints at the pocketbook like foldable smartphone which would come with 3 GB of RAM, a micorSD card slot, and a non-removable battery.
As Samsung has been long rumoured to be testing the Snapdragon 820 chipset, the purported foldable smartphone could as well serve as the test bed for the new processor, SamMobile reports.
With a history of manufacturing the world’s first; the world’s first Super AMOLED smartphone display in 2010 and the world’s first dual-edge curved display in Galaxy S6 Edge this year, a foldable smartphone, if launched, would yet again place the South Korean giant ahead of competitors.
