New Delhi: Marissa Mayer-led Yahoo has introduced a new feature to make its Mail easy to use. With the one-click feature, you can now quickly add content to your emails as you compose them.
The Internet company has made it easier to add photos, GIFs, files, links, or other content when sending emails. All you need to do is click on the new ‘+’ icon in the bottom right corner of the compose window and a panel on the right pops out to show you four different types of content you could choose from.
The option for photos will show the photos you’ve sent or received in Yahoo Mail with the most recent ones at the top. You can also search for photos from the web or Flickr within the panel. Files option lets you insert documents, presentations, PDFs, etc.- again with the most recent ones on the top. You can use the same search box to look for a document within your system.
Yahoo is also allowing inserting GIFs in emails by suggesting some of its own other than allowing you to search from the web or Tumblr. It has also added a preview for both photos and GIFs.
One of the most interesting elements is the ability to add web links in an email without having to leaving the compose mail page. All you need to do is use the search box in the ‘+’ panel and look up for the restaurant, hotel, location, etc. and a link will show up along with a preview. For any of the attachments, you can also drag and drop the content from the panel into the email body.
The new feature will first show up for the Yahoo Mail in the US in the coming days and gradually roll out to the rest.
