Harshad Chopda Compares Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Exit With Breakup: 'There Will Be Problems'

Popular daily soap, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has been hogging headlines as it gears up for another generation leap in 15 years run. As the show prepares to welcome new faces, beloved lead actors Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod are ready to bid farewell to their characters, Akshara and Abhimanyu, leaving their fans heartbroken. Stepping into their shoes, Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami are all set to impress audience with their roles. Now, after months of silence, Harshad has finally opened up about his exit and compared it with a breakup, stating that it takes time to move on.

In a conversation with ETimes, the actor expressed, “Everything is a memory now. When you work on a show, you give your best to each and every shot. We give our blood, sweat, hard work and do the work with full involvement, so everything becomes memory. This time the emotions are so high because we are quitting the show.”

Drawing a comparison with that of breakup, Harshad Chopda said, “Whenever a show is ending it is like a breakup, it takes a while to get over it, emotions are high, there will be problems with the articulation, and there won’t be clarity. This is the situation with us now.”

Further, Harshad Chopda mentioned that the two years he spent on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has brought laughter and tears to the viewers. He acknowledged that he might have made some mistakes but asked for forgiveness from the audiences. Talking about fans’ sad reaction, the handsome hunk stated that it’s a mixed feeling for them and him as well. He feels that audience can decide whether they should feel joy or sadness about his departure.

The actor also had an advice for the next generation in the show, Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami. He asked them to ‘follow the vision and keep your best foot forward’. “Whenever you do something with a good intent everything falls into place,” he added.

Apart from Samridhii and Shehzada, the upcoming leap in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will also introduce new generation of actors like, Shruti Ulfat, Sandeep Rajora, Shivam Khajuria, Preeti Amin, Preeti Puri Choudhary, Saloni Sandhu, Rishabh Jaiswal, Sandeep Baswana, Sikandar Kharbanda, Pratiksha Honmukhe, and Gaurav Sharma.
