Dalljiet Kaur has been in the news ever since she made serious allegations against her estranged husband, Nikhil Patel, accusing him of infidelity. The former couple is involved in a legal battle. In a recent interview, the actress shared details about how the legal fight started and mentioned that the Kenya-based businessman intentionally upset her by coming to India for his birthday celebrations with his alleged girlfriend.
“Even though he knows that I am very angry, which wife will not be angry? Maybe if I had been dignified and not said anything, then too, people would not have been happy. So I don’t care about those people,” Dalljiet told Pinkvilla while expressing her anger over Nikhil’s post with his alleged new girlfriend.
The actress explained that she retaliated after seeing his posts, and in turn, Nikhil released a statement mentioning that there wasn’t any marriage between them. “When I retaliated, I saw his posts. Then, he released a statement saying that there was no marriage. I uploaded the marriage video, then. He then put a child abuse case against me. Then, I retaliated and finally started a case in Kenya,” she added.
Dalljiet revealed her real motive behind filing the case, and stated, “My main motive was to take my belongings. It was my marital home and it was accepted in Kenya. It was clear that it’s my marital home, and I can take the belongings.” Despite a stay order, she wasn’t allowed inside the house. She recalled how the watchmen, who once used to say ‘bye’ to her and her son Jaydon, refused to let them in.
The actress also shared that she felt humiliated when she couldn’t find out where her belongings were. “Forget about that humiliation. When I came back, I had no idea where my belongings were. I was confused about whether they were in storage or where,” she mentioned.
Just when she started to come out of all this, her estranged husband decided to come to India with his present girlfriend on his birthday. Expressing her frustration, Dalljiet said, “I didn’t book their tickets or invite them. Why did they come? What was he trying to prove? Even if there was a medical emergency, why India? The whole world is there to go. When he came, I lost my patience.”
The actress revealed that she was already in a whirlpool of emotions when Nikhil came to India to celebrate his 45th birthday. She accused the Kenya-based businessman of purposely triggering her even after mistreating her several times. Recalling her reaction upon learning that Nikhil was in India, Dalljiet added, “Mere pairo tale zameen khisak gayi. My family was the one to see it first. And then I decided to stop it all. At that time, I was going through a bad depression.”
