Sushmita Sen’s brother and actor Rajeev Sen is back in Mumbai after a short but eventful trip to Dubai. The first thing he did upon his return to Mumbai was to visit his ex-wife Charu Asopa’s residence to spend quality time with his adorable daughter, Ziana. Earlier, in his vlog, Rajeev shared the reason for his swift return to the UAE. He explained, “I am almost 3 weeks late but I have to rush back because as a resident of UAE I have a permit to stay out of the country for 6 months only. Every 6 months we need to be back in the country and then after the renewal of my resident permit, I can come back to Mumbai."
Well, Rajeev’s recent visit to Mumbai was not his first encounter with Charu and Ziana. Prior to this, he had attended the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities at Charu Asopa’s residence. During the celebration, the actor spent time with his mother to showcase just how adorable Ziana looked in her yellow nauvari saree, while Charu herself looked stunning in a white nauvari saree. Both mother and daughter were beautifully adorned with pretty gajras on their hair as they actively participated in the Bappa’s visarjan rituals. On the other hand, Rajeev complemented them by donning a maroon kurta.
Rajeev also gave his fans a glimpse of his luxury villa in the posh Palm Jumeirah area of Dubai. He also took viewers on a tour of their family’s jewelry store and showcased the grandeur of the UAE’s jewelry exhibition. In his vlog, he made sure to document his shopping spree for Ziana, ensuring she had plenty of new toys to enjoy. He also visited his old friend, Dimpy Ganguly. The emotional reunion saw Rajeev and his mother exchanging gifts and exploring the beautiful corners of Dimpy’s lavish home.
Rajeev Sen and popular TV actress Charu Asopa tied the knot in June 2019. The couple celebrated the arrival of their first child, a baby girl, in 2021. However, their relationship took a twist in June 2022 when Charu sent a notice to Rajeev, signaling her intent to part ways. In response, Rajeev also issued a notice, alleging that Charu had concealed her first marriage from him. Despite their tumultuous journey, the couple made headlines again in September 2022 when they decided to reunite for the sake of their beloved daughter. However, their reconciliation proved to be short-lived, and in just a matter of months, they once again headed for divorce.
On the professional front, Rajeev Sen is gearing up for director Vishal Mishra’s upcoming mystery thriller Iti. The film also features Vivek Oberoi and Taher Shabbir in pivotal roles.
