Shiv Thakare Celebrates Birthday With Family On Ganesh Chaturthi, Feels 'Grateful And Blessed'

Bigg Boss 16 fame Shiv Thakare turned a year older on Monday, September 9. The reality TV star’s 35th birthday coincided with the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, which made him feel “grateful and blessed.” On Monday, Shiv Thakare shared a bunch of pictures from his homely birthday celebrations with family and Ganpati Bappa. He also penned down a heartfelt note to express his emotions on the special day. “Ganpati Bappa Morya. I am beyond grateful and blessed that my birthday came during this divine time of Ganesh Chaturthi. Thank you my friends, my family and my insta fam for all the lovely birthday wishes, messages and Vms,” the caption read.

Mentioning that he tried to reply to as many fans as possible, Thakare added that he read all the messages and felt happy to have received so much love from his supporters. While the first picture showed Shiv Thakare offering his special birthday cake to Ganpati Bappa at home, it was followed by family snaps showing him posing happily with all. The post also included a video of Thakare cutting the pink cake while looking very happy and grateful in casual attire.

Earlier in a conversation with the media, the TV star opened up about his love for Ganpati Bappa and Chaturthi celebrations. Thakare, who was at the idol shop, said, “My birthday is coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. What can be more auspicious than that? We go to the temple on birthdays, but this time Bappa is coming to my home. My mother’s birthday is also on the same day. So the entire month is very special and lucky for me.”

Who Is Shiv Thakare?

With humble beginnings in the MTV Roadies Rising, Shiv Thakare gained recognition after winning MTV Antisocial. He later appeared as a contestant on Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2. His strong presence and strategic gameplay took him to the winner’s trophy, cementing his status in the TV industry.

Eventually, it was his stint on the Hindi version of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 16 that created waves. While he did not win the show, Thakare emerged as the first runner-up. Shiv Thakare also took part in Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.
