For most of us, travelling is always about having a good experience. However, choosing a destination is what takes away most of the time. With destinations within India and outside India left to explore, there are quite a few favourites that Indians have when it comes to planning a vacation. For those who love the beaches and the mountains, Bali, Indonesia is one of the favourties. Especially for couples, as Bali is considered among the top destinations for honeymooners and family vacations. And Bali being heavy on tourism, has ample amount of stays to offer. From sea-facing to valley facing resorts and hotels, the city has it all. However, if one is looking for peace, tranquility, luxury and a good experience, Ayana Resorts are undoubtedly the name you hear a lot symbolising all these elements.
Travel trends have changed over the years and tourists and travellers have changed ever since the pandemic struck in 2020. The travel industry was among the most affected, but that has not stopped travellers from exploring and having a good experience now. Talking about the change in travel trends, Giordano Faggioli, General Manager of AYANA Estate Bali, says, “As we navigate the post-COVID world, we’ve seen how sustainability and wellness have taken the spotlight in travel. Travellers are now prioritizing eco-friendly options more than ever — 76% globally, according to Booking.com. For us, at Ayana, sustainability is at the core of everything we do, and we’re proud to be certified by EarthCheck.”
Adding further, he mentions that technology has also become an essential part of the travel experience, with 73% of travellers preferring features like mobile check-ins and smart hotel services. So, what are the changes that had to be made to accommodate these demands? He says, “To keep up with these trends, we’ve enhanced our guest experience with a seamless digital platform. Our app makes it easy for guests to book dining, and activities, and even reach out to our concierge or butler services.”
Travel trends play an important role when it comes to understand the demands of the market. And there have been considerable shift when it comes to the travel trends post-Covid. “We’ve noticed that more and more of our guests are seeking deeply local experiences, eager to connect with the culture around them. At AYANA Bali, Balinese culture is at the very core of what we do. We’re guided by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which promotes harmony in three essential relationships: with God, with our environment, and with one another. One way we bring this to life is through our SAKA Museum. The museum offers a unique, immersive experience that showcases Bali’s rich cultural heritage. Beyond the museum, our guests can explore Balinese culture through activities like traditional spa treatments, cooking classes, jamu-making at AYANA Farm, or Kampoeng Bali,” says Faggioli.
Travel industry is constantly evolving and it is only getting busier by the day. To keep up with the demands of the tourists, Ayana has a lot to offer in the coming months. Talking about the future plans, Faggioli says, “We’re opening Tevana Garden, a serene 6-hectare park featuring 80 species of tropical flora. Soon, SAKA Museum will be unveiling its next exhibition, too. We’re also planning some enhancements and renovations for our villa units and rooms at AYANA Resort Bali to make the stay even more enjoyable.”
