A wedding in the Navipet area of Telangana’s Nizamabad district turned chaotic on Wednesday, August 28, after a dispute over mutton curry escalated into a violent altercation. The incident unfolded when some attendees from the groom’s side became enraged after discovering they were served less mutton than expected.

Tensions began when a group of young men from the groom’s party confronted the cook about the portion size. This disagreement quickly spiraled out of control, with both sides – the bride’s and the groom’s families – becoming involved in a heated argument. The situation deteriorated further when both parties began attacking each other with stones and sticks.

A video capturing the violent scene, including injured guests and bystanders trying to intervene, went viral on social media on Thursday. Local residents and police intervened to restore order. Authorities reported that eight people were injured in the clash and were taken to Nizamabad Government Hospital. A case has been registered against 11 individuals involved in the incident.
