Italian Pasta. Yes, you read that right! Teaming up with Consul General of Italy Alessandro De Masi, Goila created this fusion dish.
In a fun video, the celebrity chef shared the experience on Instagram and teased that Alessandro De Masi’s approval might determine his next trip to Italy. The chef was confident with his innovation and Alessandro instantly fell in love with the dish, even though he initially had doubts about some of the Goila’s ingredient choices. At the end of the video, the Consul General called the dish “Delishaaas.”
In his recipe, Chef Saransh Goila suggests starting by soaking 6 papads in ice water and sprinkling some semolina on a board. Then, place the papads on the board, coat them and set them aside. Fill each papad generously with stuffing and roll them tightly. Prepare an oven tray by spreading butter on it, then arrange the papad pasta on it. Spread a layer of tomato sauce, sprinkle with parmesan and finally, bake at 170 degrees Celsius for 12 minutes until golden and crispy.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Saransh Golia wrote, “Will the Italian Consul General like Papad Pasta? Will I get to go to Italy and feed people Papad Pasta? Huge respect and big hugs to Alessandro De Masi who sweetly agreed to come to Delishaaas HQ to try out version of Pasta. I’m hoping I made my Sindhi genes proud. It goes without saying that Papad Pasta Cannelloni was extra Delishaaas.”
