Getting a closer look at wildlife, we often understand the life these creatures lead beyond the ferocious side humans are familiar with. Recently, Parveen Kaswan, an Indian Forest Service officer posted a photo of a tigress with her six cubs while they took a refreshing bath in a lake. Stating about the dangers that exist for this species, the officers put forward the need to help them survive in an environment free of threats.

Sharing the picture, the IFS officer wrote, “Scenes like this make every conservationist smile. Imagine this species was on the verge of extinction once. Now doing fine. A mother tigress overlooking six cubs, while they are taking a good bath. A hardworking mother indeed. Somewhere from a tiger reserve in India.”

Since being posted, the pictures have received over 31000 views and many reactions praising the tigress’ efforts and the dedication of forest officers.

A user wrote, “It takes immense love, care, and planning. coordination and hard work to create the right environment for these majestic animals. Hats off to all of them who made it possible.” Another agreed with the officers saying, “Literally sir ! It is simply a result of sincere officers like you sir ! As I am an eyewitness to efforts in panna national park.”

An individual tried to create awareness and stated, “Lets create an environment/atmosphere for other species of herbivores like cattle, deer etc to balance the habitats.”

Another praised the tigress for all her efforts to safeguard the cubs, “Mother nature will reward genuine hard work. The effort of over 50 years has fetched resounding results.” Some simply appreciated the forest officials. “India’s Tiger Conservation story is one of the best success stories. The effort by our Forest dept. and conservationists to save this majestic royal beast is really commendable,” commented an individual.

Similar videos have come to light time and again. Some months back viewers were in for a surprise when a video of a tigress and her cubs from the Panna Tiger Reserve was shared on social media.

It went viral after Indian Forest Service (IFS) Officer Ramesh Pandey posted it on his Twitter handle. In the caption, the officer wrote, “Parks are either about to open or opened in some parts of the country depending on weather conditions or other factors. Good shares have started pouring in. Here is one from Panna.” The footage showed a tigress wandering with her four cubs near a forest gate. What was surprising was that the tourists’ stayed calm, which is quite the contrary in the majority of cases.
