A 72-year-old native of Bajrang Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh named Ram Niwas Pare is dominating the headlines due to his hobby of collecting coins, currency notes and pictures of the kings and emperors. According to Local 18 Madhya Pradesh, he has a massive collection of these souvenirs. These souvenirs contain rupees worth Rs 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000 along with 5, 10, 20 and 50 paise. He also has a Rs 1,00,000 note and a picture of the 400-year-old palace of the Holkar kings.

Ram is undergoing treatment for his weak memory power but his passion for collecting these things has not diminished. Due to this health problem, he is unable to remember certain things but can provide correct information regarding the notes, photographs and coins. The 72-year-old Indore native believes in living life to the fullest and that’s why fulfils all his hobbies. Ram added that he also had a collection of coins before and after independence.

The Indore native then revealed more about his personal life. According to him, his father Motiram Pare used to work as an accountant during the Holkar regime. Ram said that he worked at the Choithram Hospital & Research Centre. After leaving this job, he worked in many places including the press and is finally concentrating on pursuing his hobbies after retirement.

As per Ram, his wife Sulabha Ramniwas Pare also supported him in this hobby after retiring from the services. The Indore native said that he collected photographs of many kings and emperors of India and abroad in a few years. According to him, he has currency notes ranging from 25 paise to Rs 1,00,000.

Ram added that the note of Rs 1,00,000 is the biggest he has seen to date and also has a photograph of Subhas Chandra Bose. The slogan Jai Hind Swatantra Bharat is also written alongside the photograph. The collection of his photographs also comprises the pictures of Maharaja Bakhtawar Singh of Ajmer, Maharaja Mansingh Saluja of Punjab, and Maharaja Martand Singh of Rewa. Besides this antique collection of coins and photographs, Ram also has a 50-year-old camera.
