The video offers a BTS glimpse into the complex design process for Iron Man suit, technical hurdles and various testing phases.

Since the release of Iron Man, cosplayers and other artists have created impressive suits inspired by Robert Downey Jr.’s iconic character. However, Russian content creator and engineer Alex Burkan’s creation stands apart, as he has carefully brought the Iron Man suit to life from scratch. Going beyond aesthetics, Burkan’s suit is a technological marvel which is filled with advanced features. Unlike other replicas, the YouTubers suit includes a self powered hydrogen reactor, repulsor upgrade and bulletproof armour. While still in production, a recent Instagram post shows the suit undergoing a cold thrust test, simulating a repulsor blast without ignition using a hydrogen and oxygen mix.

The powerful blast forces Burkan to go several steps backwards. In addition to the explosive blast test, a recent Instagram post provides a look into his journey and offers a behind the scenes (BTS) glimpse into the complex design process, technical hurdles and various testing phases. Sharing the video of the content creator, the Instagram page wrote, “Alex Burkan showcases his journey as he replicates the iconic Iron Man suit in more than just its aesthetics but also many engineering and technical aspects.”

Reacting to the videos and dedication of Alex Burkan, a user wrote, “Russians people and tech, always the top class.”

Another shared, “Iron man built this in a cave full of crabs but. Damn nice.”

“Plot of Iron Man 2,” a comment read.

An individual mentioned, “I always knew that it would be a Russian who would make it practically possible.”

Another asserted, “The real life Tony Stark.”

A user added, “Marvels wants to know your location lol.”

Alex Burkan has not only made Iron Man suit a reality but he also holds the Guinness World Record (GWR) for making the first ever working and retractable lightsaber. Taking inspiration from the Star Wars franchise, his lightsaber features a 3.28 foot plasma blade reaching an impressive 5,072 Fahrenheit, with the capability to cut through steel.

Talking about his creation, the content creator said, “The key component of my lightsaber is an electrolyser. An electrolyser is a device that can generate a huge amount of hydrogen and oxygen and compress the gas to any pressure without a mechanical compressor. Finally, the most challenging job was to squeeze the whole gas distribution system in a lightsaber handle. It works for only 30 seconds on full power, the hydrogen torch is not as stable as it could be and you can easily see it when it moves.”

The journey to replicate this iconic weapon faced numerous challenges and Alex’s determination through hundreds of experiments and tests ultimately led to the successful creation of the hydrogen and oxygen burner to achieve the desired shape and length for his lightsaber.
