Sam Altman's Reaction To Standford Students Singing Happy Birthday Is Every Introvert's Story
Talking about Sam Altman, he himself was a student at Stanford University but dropped out in 2005 without a bachelor's degree.

As the world of artificial intelligence evolves every day, Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, has time and again been in the news due to various developments. Recently, Sam Altman hit headlines for no new AI update, but for a different reason. He was recently called to the prestigious Stanford University in the USA for an event, and was surprised by a group of students who wished him a happy birthday. The moment turned out to be slightly awkward for the OpenAI’s CEO, as he seemed like not much of a birthday celebrator in public.

In a video, Sam Altman was seen having a conversation with Stanford lecturer Ravi Belani as part of Stanford’s Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders series. During the event, a group of students took him by surprise as they started singing “Happy birthday” for the AI entrepreneur. The video was shared by a fellow third-year Computer Science student named Allen Naliath.

This was not the end as the screen behind Sam also had the text reading, “Happy birthday, Sam”. The OpenAI’s CEO, who was mildly awkward by the sweet gesture of the students, said, “This is less interesting.”

After the event was concluded, Allen Naliath shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter) which described the awkward response given by the AI entrepreneur after receiving the collective wishes. He wrote, “Good to know @sama also hates when people sing happy birthdays.”

Later, the student also shared footage where students were seen standing in a long queue outside the venue of the event. He wrote, “The line for Sam Altman at Stanford today.”

Talking about Sam Altman, he himself was a student at Stanford University but dropped out in 2005 without a bachelor’s degree. He had taken admission in the Computer Science course initially but couldn’t complete his degree. Sam Altman recently made investments in a green-energy startup called Exowatt that targets data centres.
