Siddharth Has This To Say On Students Using Celebrities For Motivation
Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth recently announced that he won't be responding to any request from students.

On social media, trends come and go, and the latest craze involves users urging their favourite celebrities to comment, only then they’ll start certain activities. The maximum requests are from students, who promise to start studying or taking exams only if a certain actor comments on their posts or grants them permission. Though the origin of this trend remains unclear, speculation suggests that it gained momentum after Vijay Deverakonda responded to a couple of teenage fans. Later, numerous celebrities and content creators joined the trend. But, not everyone is on board with this craze. Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth recently announced that he won’t be responding to any such request and called the trend ridiculous.

In the video shared on Instagram, the Chithha actor said, “I’ve been getting a lot of request on Instagram saying, ‘If Siddharth comments on this post, then I’ll go and study or I’ll go and write my exam or I’ll take care of my future, go save my country.’ First things first, if you study or write your exams, switch off your social media and go and study and write your exam. This is a ridiculous trend, I will not be commenting on your post.” Sharing the post, he wrote, “If you see this reel I’ll know you’re still on social media and not doing something useful.”

After Siddharth shared the video, it quickly went viral and garnered over 1 million views. Social media users are expressing their appreciation for the actor’s stand against the trend, as many agree with his perspective that it is indeed a silly and unusual thing to follow.

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Finally, thanks for saying this. Seriously, silly brats out there. I mean are people so jobless as to keep a tab on such comments and respond.”

Another joked, “Sid is super tired of this Gen Z atrocities.”

“End of this silly trend,” a comment read.

An individual appreciating the actor shared, “Someone had to say it. Thanks for not encouraging this stupid trend.”

Another wrote, “Bro slapped everyone.”

A user added, “I wish the current generation had parents like ours, flying chappal nahi toh at least a death stare would be great. Finally, someone said it.”

On the work front, Siddharth is set to appear in Kamal Haasan’s film, Indian 2, directed by Shankar. The star-studded cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah and Bobby Simha. Additionally, the actor is also set to showcase his talent in the cricket drama titled Test, where he’ll share the screen with Nayanthara, R Madhavan and Meera Jasmine.
