Watch: Woman Gives Buttermilk Packets To People Working In Delhi's Brutal Heat
Content creator Suchi Sharma decided to help Delhi workers stay hydrated in extreme heat by handing out buttermilk packets.

The summer season is proving particularly harsh this year, with many places recording significantly high temperatures. People are trying all measures to beat the heat and aiming to stay indoors as much as possible. But, numerous labourers have to work under the scorching sun to make a living. Recently, a content creator Suchi Sharma decided to help these workers stay hydrated. She provided them some respite by handing out buttermilk packets.

The video shows the content creator visiting a work site in Delhi. She cordially invited everyone and asked if they’d like some refreshing buttermilk packets. She is then seen handing the packs to the hardworking employees, both adults and kids. She was also seen spending time with the kids and interacting with them. A kid was seen downing it and exclaiming that he was very thirsty. The embedded text of the video read, “Delhi reached 52.3 C, a record high in two days.” In the caption, she stated her motto, “Let’s unite with compassion against this severe heatwave.”

The video has received over 7.3 million views so far. Many people praised her for the kind effort. One user said, “This isn’t a reel, its a gesture of humanity,” “Uhh have golden heart,” “You are doing sucha great job!!”

Many people sympathised with the workers, especially the children working on the site in the harsh weather. “That kid “Pyaas lagi thi’ felt hard. How their childhood is ruining in garbage and how privileged and unsatisfied we are with lives,” stated one user.

An individual suggested other ways to help those working outdoors daily. The user stated, “In case someone can’t go outside for thi, you can always offer cold water or chhaach to delivery boys. Keep extra stock in your fridge especially for them.”

Others pointed out that she was doing this for a reel. “Do this without uploading video sis it will be more appropriated by those people.”

While many defended her saying, “Keep spreading love. Doesn’t matter if its for a video. At least she is doing something good,” “Such a sweet gesture this is…Also those who are commenting trash and judging her for making a reel out of this- get inspired instead of complaining, please.”
