Woman Tries Her Luck On Busy Road, Rides Scooty Hands-Free

Driving a scooter hands-free sounds either a distant dream where driverless two-wheelers are a thing or negligent driving. Now, a video that shows a woman riding scooty hands-free is going viral. The undated video shows the driver dancing with her hands up in the air as she moves to a busy road. It appears that the driver is in her own world, and oblivious to her surroundings. A popular X account, called Ghar Ke Kalesh, shared this video and wrote, “Fearless Scooter Didi having Kalesh with her Luck on Road.”

It appears that this 18-second video was taken by a person who was in a four-wheeler next to the scooter driver. However, the blurry quality of the video does not show the number plate. It is interesting to note that she is not even wearing a helmet, which is mandated by law. So far, this clip has gathered over eight lakh views and over 2,000 likes. In the comments, many people slammed the woman for endangering not just herself but also other commuters on the road.

An X user commented, “Didi will be a headline in a newspaper someday if she doesn’t change her ways. This is just reckless. Two wheelers in India are already a high-risk proposition, you don’t need to add shenanigans to it.” Someone sarcastically referred to the reckless driver as, “She is a professional stunt women.” Another X user wrote, “Used to be me a few years ago! Now I am more sane. But if I am being honest….I do miss it sometimes.”

This is not the first time that videos of reckless driving have gone viral. Earlier in January, a video went viral that showed a couple kissing and hugging each other while on the bike. In the incriminating video, the woman sits on the driver’s lap instead of sitting in the back seat. The couple also drapes a shawl around them as they drive on a busy road.

The X account which shared this video wrote, “This daring duo was spotted at Bandra Reclamation, turning heads with their unconventional scooter ride. Mumbai Police, we kindly request your attention to ensure everyone’s safety on the roads.” Many others tagged Mumbai Police in the comments and asked law enforcement to take legal action against them for breaking road safety rules.
