Muudea Sedik, US-based Canadian YouTuber, popularly known by his username Twomad, died at the age of 23. Sedik was best known for making videos centred around gaming and community news and was found unresponsive Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles by emergency responders following a welfare check after the 23-year old did not respond to calls and messages.
The law enforcement officials did not reveal what led to the YouTuber’s death but said his death is being investigated as a possible drug overdose.
Sedik has over 2 million subscribers on his social media accounts and his last video garnered over 1 million views. Sedik was known for his quirky videos and takes. His YouTube bio reads: “Working on my plan for world domination”.
However, despite the eccentric nature of his videos, his recent strange posts of social media site X sparked concern among his fanbase. One of Sedik’s last posts on X read: “Dying at 90? Nah I’m too strong nah I’d win”.
A user responded: “Twomad dead at 23”. To this, he replied: “No”.
His final video was uploaded in 2022. It was a comedy sketch titled ‘How I Became CEO of Radioshack’.
Police said they suspect no foul play in his death and a separate report by news outlet TMZ reported that there was drug paraphernalia found in his home.
The Canadian YouTuber is of Ethiopian descent and rose to prominence on YouTube in 2018 after he started sharing clips of himself commenting on video game streams. He then started making comedic skits and vlogs.
He is also known for making the “Goodnight Girl” meme in 2019. In those videos, Sedik spoke directly into the camera as if talking to a girlfriend, before abruptly tripping and falling out of view. He also collaborated with OnlyFans model Belle Delphine in June 2022 and regularly posted videos across multiple YouTube channels, X and Instagram.
