In a video that is now going viral on social media a Los Angeles preschool employee was captured violently pulling and pinning a 4-year-old boy to the ground. The employee then yanked the boy by both his ankles and carried him upside down, dangling him in the air.
The incident happened at the Kinder Kids Christian Preschool situated in central Los Angeles last month. “I was distraught. Nobody wants to see their child being manhandled like that at all,” the child’s mother BrieAnn Battle was quoted as saying by local news media outlet ABC 7.
In the surveillance video, the worker is seen grabbing the child by his arms and then pinning both arms on the ground by his wrists.

The mother was alerted by another worker at the preschool who showed her the video. She contacted the owner and demanded to know why her child was mistreated.
To the mother’s surprise, the owner of the preschool ended up “denying everything” even as she tried giving the owner the “benefit of the doubt” and a serious “mother-to-mother, woman-to-woman” talk to understand what happened.
She claimed that the owner showed her an entirely different video where the worker in question is not being roughly handled by the employee in a bid to cover up the crime.
“The owner-operator showed me the clip from when she took him out into the foyer, and that’s when he was giving her a lot of activity so she thought that was going to be, I guess, a better angle,” Battle told the local media outlet.
“How dare … you know, how dare you? And then she’s avoiding accountability, so it’s turned very criminal,” Battle further added.
She has now filed a police report accusing the daycare of child abuse. The Kinder Kids Christian Preschool told the local news media outlet that the employee in question has resigned.
The mother, however, is now demanding that the licence of the daycare be revoked because the owner first denied any such incident had occurred. “She needs to go to jail for this. For that matter, she doesn’t need to be taking care of anybody else’s kids, and her licence needs to be revoked,” she said, adding that she has also contacted a lawyer to help her with her case and ensure it does not impact other mothers.
