Zoo officials are now being criticised by the Georgian government for failing to provide reliable information on the whereabout of several animals who escaped the zoo following severe flooding.
Georgia: The tiger was shot dead by the local police after it escaped from the Tbilisi Zoo and mauled a man to death.
The Interior Ministry officials say that the tiger was hiding in an abandoned factory when it attacked the man. Police say the victim died in the hospital.
