Pakistan NSA visits Indian High Commission to condole Kalam's death
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had also expressed deep condolences on Kalam's demise.

Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister's Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Thursday visited the Indian High Commission here to condole the death of former president APJ Abdul Kalam.

"Aziz expressed condolences and sympathies of the Government and people of Pakistan to the Government and people of India," Pakistan Foreign Office said in a statement. Aziz also signed the condolence book at the High Commission. Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry accompanied Aziz to the High Commission.

Earlier this week, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had also expressed deep condolences on Kalam's demise. Many world leaders including US President Barack Obama, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong have already expressed their condolences on Kalam's death.

Kalam, 83, also known as India's 'missile man', collapsed during a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management in Shillong on Monday and later died in a hospital. He served as the President of India from 2002 to 2007.
