WWE RAW Results: Seth Rollins Gives Injury Update, Imperium vs New Day Ends in Count-out
Highlights from the January 22’s episode of WWE RAW that saw Seth Rollins pledging his title on the line at WrestleMania.

The latest episode of Monday Night RAW opened with Seth “Freakin” Rollins sharing updates about the injury that he had sustained during a fight against Jinder Mahal last week.

According to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, the wounds are severe and will require surgery. He added that it will take him three or four months to fully recover.

That’s when Gunther entered the ring and expressed his doubt about Rollins’ participation at the WrestleMania.

The speculation irked Rollins, who immediately pledged to put his title on the line at the premier event. Gunther then revealed his intention to win the men’s Royal Rumble match and challenge Rollins at the WrestleMania.

After both superstars vacated the ring, the show went into the main segment, which began with a deadly battle between the Imperium and the New Day.

Let’s take a look at the results of the fights that unfolded on January 22’s episode of WWE RAW:

Imperium vs New Day

The Imperium featuring Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci pulled off a dominant start and launched some early strikes. The New Day bounced back soon, with the duo of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods launching the Unicorn Stampede. Vinci then went hard on Woods but ended up receiving a big boot. The fight ultimately ended in a double count-out as the wrestlers refused to return to the ring. Even after the match was finished, the members of both teams were seen fighting outside as Kofi and Woods used stereo spears on their opponents.

Ivy Nile vs Valhalla

Valhalla took on the early control but Ivy Nile came roaring back with a roundhouse kick and some brutal strikes. Nile then tried the head scissors before receiving a pop-up headbutt. Valhalla attempted to use the ropes to secure the pin but Maxxine intervened. Nille then came up with a big bulldog to pick up the victory.

The Miz vs Dominik Mysterio

The Miz dominated the fight in the early stages before distraction from Balor and JD allowed Mysterio to gain momentum. He sent the Miz out of the ring with a dangerous running knee. The Miz came back with the Skull Crushing Finale but Mysterio managed to duck it. He finally used the 619 and the Frogsplash on the Miz to win the match.

Chad Gable vs Ivar

The fight turned out to be quite enthralling, with both superstars appearing at their absolute best. After they exchanged some strikes, Chad Gable trapped Ivar in the Anklelock. Ivar first released the hold with a slam before trying out the Doomsault off the top rope. Gable seemed to be aware of the situation as he countered with a German Suplex. That’s when Valhalla caused interference that helped Ivar use the second Doomsault to secure the win.

Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark vs Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae

It was a short-lived match where the pair of Hartwell and LeRae had the early control. While Baszler was smashed off the rope, Stark received a Pison Rana. Baszler then caught LeRae in the Kirifuda Clutch before Stark joined them and launched a Z360 to register the win.

Damian Priest vs Drew McIntyre

Priest kicked off the match on a promising note and threw McIntyre out of the ring. Upon his return, McIntyre tried to use the Claymore but Priest managed to dodge the attack and countered with a Broken Arrow. R-Truth made a sudden entry and the distraction allowed Priest to launch the South of Heaven. As the pin was left unnoticed, McIntyre came back with a claymore to win the match.
