The Chinese car maker Build Your Dreams aka BYD has achieved impressive sales figures in the international market. The brand has left behind the top car makers Nissan and Honda for the first time in Q2 2024.
According to the reports, BYD has witnessed a jump of 40 percent in sales for new models. This has been reported between the period of April and June 2024. These sales figures helped the company to beat the above-mentioned manufacturers, becoming the seventh-largest carmaker globally.
Tough Competition to Ford
The report suggested that the brand has been getting an overwhelming response for its low-cost electric models in the international market. It is even giving tough competition to the automotive giant Ford on a global level, all thanks to their tech-loaded product under an affordable price range.
Overall Network
Amid the ongoing growing competition in the EV segment, BYD started investing more in the international market. It has reportedly sold 105,000 vehicles outside of China, beating its own record compared to compared to last year. It is getting an overwhelming response from customers in multiple countries including Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, Japan, Europe and some of the Southeast Asian countries.
The impressive growth has been reported by BYD at a time when the EV segment started booming globally. Seeing the growing competition, top manufacturers are either turning their existing models into electric ones or launching new ones.
