A resident of Naya Bazar village, located in Hathwa district, Pushpendra Kumar is a successful entrepreneur today. Pushpendra started his journey by selling notebooks on a bicycle. Recalling the difficult phase, he says that earlier, the financial condition of his family was not good and his father used to book tickets for transport. He was paid a very small amount which was not enough for the livelihood of the family. Later, the health of the businessman’s father started deteriorating day by day which led the former to take responsibility for his family which included two sisters, three brothers, and parents.

Pushpendra also shared that he wanted to do civil services and had an aim to become an IAS officer but destiny had different plans. He could not pursue further studies due to his family conditions which eventually landed him the opportunity to start his venture.

Speaking about his initial journey, Pushpendra shared that he used to supply notebooks to shops on his bicycle which gradually became a source of livelihood for his family. It was after a friend’s advice that he decided to set up his factory. To start his business, he took a loan of Rs 2 lakh and installed a small machine. Within no time, his notebook business took off. The whole family supported him in the venture and as a consequence, he is now the owner of a factory and earns significant profit annually.
