His new contract with Mumbai would see Pandya earn a salary of Rs 15 crores at the club for the 2024 season.

In another shocking update, it was revealed that Hardik Pandya would also be replacing Rohit Sharma as the skipper of Mumbai Indians for the upcoming IPL campaign in 2024. Pandya spent two years with Gujarat, spearheading his side into back-to-back finals of the competition from 2022 to 2023. He won the first final against Rajasthan Royals before losing his second to a Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings last year. During his time at Gujarat, Pandya scored 833 runs in 31 games while also scalping 11 wickets.
