The Bihar teacher recruitment exam is all set to be held soon. According to the latest report, the Patna High Court has put a stay order on Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) TRE 3 for the time being. BPSC recently announced recruitment for a total of 87722 positions in TRE 3. The test was cancelled for the first time in March due to a leak of the question papers. The Patna High Court has now issued a stay until the re-examination. Reports suggest the Patna High Court is also taking into consideration the matter of giving weightage to guest teachers of higher secondary schools.

The court has ordered to give 5 marks on the basis of each year and a maximum 25 marks on the basis of 5 years. It also said that teachers in backward and extremely backward departments are gaining weightage. In BPSC teacher recruitment, they are getting 5 marks weightage on the basis of each year.

BPSC was planning to conduct the exam on June 20. The court said that the guest teachers of the education department should also get weightage. In this regard, the guest teachers had appealed to the Patna High Court, after which the court ordered them to give weightage to the guest teachers of the education department as well.

As per recent reports, 5.25 lakh applicants filled up the TRE-3 form.

The BPSC conducted the third phase of the teacher recruitment exam in both shifts on March 15. Its paper was leaked. During this time, it was reported that over 270 applicants were forced to memorise the answers to the question paper in multiple rooms of a hotel in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, as well as a wedding hall.

The question paper seized from the spot was compared with the question paper received from the BPSC office, which was found to be identical.

The Bihar Police is investigating this matter and has revealed that a gang was involved in setting up the exam, including the paper leak. The Bihar Police have also detained many people in connection with this issue, later the commission decided to finally cancel the examination.
