The government of Uttar Pradesh has issued an official application for Anganwadis wherein over 20,000 vacancies are going to be filled. As per the notification, the registration process has already begun since March 13. Candidates eligible for the post can apply online through the official website at balvikasup.gov.in.
Let us take a brief look at the vacancy, eligibility, selection process, and how to apply for the job before the deadline.
Vacancy
According to the official notification, the recruitment drive aims to hire a total of 23,753 posts across different districts in the state. It includes districts such as Agra, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Banda, Ballia, Basti, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Etah, Fatehpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Gorakhpur, Hapur, Jhansi, Lucknow, Meerut, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, Shamli among others.
Eligibility
The age limit for the applicants in the Anganwadi worker and helper posts is between 18 to 35 years. The post of Anganwadi supervisor is for candidates between 18 to 45. However, the notification also mentions that the administration will be allowing an age relaxation for the ones belonging to the reserved category.
On the educational qualification, the candidates with a minimum qualification up to Class 5th can apply for worker or helper post while for the supervisor position, the minimum qualification required is a 12th pass.
Additionally, the candidate applying for the job needs to be a resident of the concerned village/ ward/ nyaya panchayat from where they are applying for the job.

Fill out the application form with all required details.
Upload relevant documents.
Review and click ‘Submit’.
Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy for future reference.
Selection Process
As per the notification, the selection process for Anganwadi posts involves three major stages. They are- the Merit List stage, wherein the candidates are selected based on their merit list considering the marks obtained while qualifying Class 12th exam. In the second stage, the document verification is undertaken. All the shortlisted candidates are cross-verified with their submitted documents. At last, a medical examination is conducted to ensure the health criteria for the offered position.
