Manchester United May Reduce Erik ten Hag's Involvement in Transfer Negotiations: Report
Sources have revealed that Manchester United will significantly reduce the involvement of Erik ten Hag in the transfer business.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe acquiring a 25% stake in Manchester United, the English giants are expected to revamp the squad in the upcoming transfer market. It is now being learnt that Manchester United could very well lower manager Erik ten Hag’s influence in the club’s transfer policies.

As per a Football Insider report, sources have revealed that Manchester United will significantly reduce the involvement of the Dutchman in the transfer business if he stays at the club this summer. The report went on to add that INEOS ownership, under Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford, will aim to limit Ten Hag’s involvement in deals in the future.

Football Insider claims that Erik ten Hag will be allowed to make any potential signings but he will not be conducting any business if he manages to save his post in the next campaign. Earlier a report published by i claimed that INEOS boss Jim Ratcliffe and his team wish to give prominence to a data-driven approach in Manchester United’s future transfer policies.

“Data is part of the DNA at Ineos so it’s no surprise it’s going to be a big part of what they do at Manchester United,” a source told i.

“They really spoke Sir Dave’s language. There is a real natural kinship there and Ineos is very big on data so it’s a very important area for Sir Jim and Sir Dave,” one source revealed to the above-mentioned outlet.

It is understood that Antony and Andre Onana’s performance at Manchester United have forced some to be skeptical about Erik ten Hag’s approach in the transfer market. Ten Hag re-signed Onana and Antony at Manchester United. Ten Hag had previously worked with both of them at Dutch football club Ajax.

The article published by i claims that Manchester United are keen on lowering the age profile of their new signings, with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite and Crystal Palace midfielder Michael Olise on their radar.

Manchester United currently occupy the sixth spot on the Premier League points table. They have so far collected 38 points from 23 games. In their last match, Manchester United registered a convincing 3-0 victory against West Ham at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
