Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has reportedly become ‘disillusioned’ with life at Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order under current manager Erik ten Hag’s regime.
Varane has struggled with injuries and form and a lack of game time has resulted in frustration that could see the 2018 world cup winner leave Manchester United after the end of the current season.
The 30-year-old is reportedly wanted by Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr and are reportedly willing to offer him £50m-a-year deal to be reunited with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Varane and Ronaldo have been teammates at Real Madrid and Manchester United and will play in their third club together should the out-of-favour Frenchman accept the deal.
According to Daily Star, Manchester United aren’t going to use the option of 12-month extension in Varane’s contract that ends with the current season.
Varane joined the Premier League giants in 2021 from Real Madrid on a £340,000-a-week that reportedly made him their highest paid player.
During his time with the club, Varane has helped them win League Cup last year which was their first silverware since 2017.
However, he was dropped in Manchester United’s 3-0 win over West Ham United last weekend with Harry Maguire being preferred. An injury to Lisandro Martinez, who hurt his knee, forced Ten Hag to make a late substitution in Varane.
Martinez could be sidelined for at least eight weeks.
“Lisandro Martinez has sustained an injury to the medial collateral ligament in his knee and is expected to be out of action for at least eight weeks. We all with Licha a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the pitch later in the season,” read a statement from Manchester United.
Manchester United are sixth in the Premier League standings having collected 38 points from 23 matches so far. Liverpool are currently leading the points table with Manchester City, Arsenal and Aston Villa completing the top-four.
