New Delhi: US Republican presidential candidate John MacCain has said that India and Brazil should replace Russia in the G8.
He said it in a major foreign policy address that defended his hardline views on the ongoing war on terror.
McCain stressed on the need for the league to harness the vast influence of the more than one hundred democratic nations around the world.
The Arizona senator also cited Russia's purported cyber attacks against businesses and others in the Baltic state of Estonia.
He added G8 must defend the shared interests of the nations. Presently, the G8 members include the US and Russia, Japan, Germany, UK, Canada, France and Italy.
