Building in Cyberabad demolished with an elderly man inside; victim survives

Cyberabad: An elderly man suffered serious injuries after authorities demolished his home while he was still inside it in Cyberabad on Saturday. The team was carrying out a demolition drive against unauthorised construction without doing proper checks.

Municipal authorities claim they made sufficient announcements asking people to vacate their homes prior to the demolition drive. The police have begun an investigation as to where the lapses were and who to book for negligence.
