CID challenges anticipatory bail to Raghu

The crime investigation department has filed a criminal petition in the High Court seeking cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to K Raghurama Krishna Raju, accused number one in the call data leak case relating to CBI joint director VV Lakshminarayana.

Raju was granted anticipatory bail by a lower court on August 18. CID superintendent of police D Ramakrishnaiah said in his petition that the IV Additional metropolitan sessions judge, Hyderabad has granted anticipatory bail without considering all the aspects from a proper perspective and though the accused was in Singapore on the said day. The bail application was silent on his absence from India.
