After AAP's Kumar Vishwas reached out to people here, Congress leaders will take up a four-day 'padyatra' in all 16 blocks of party Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's Parliamentary constituency to create awareness about the work done by the UPA government.
The four-day padyatra will begin on February 15 with 25 Congress activists from all blocks walking on foot to cover all corners of the constituency, party sources said.
The office bearers of the party of Amethi district and of the state, block and Nyay Panchayat met on Friday in Munshiganj and took the decision to start the campaign, the sources said.
Gandhi's representative in Amethi, Chandra Kant Dubey, presided over the meeting and appealed to the party workers to provide information at all levels regarding good works of the party and the central government, they said.
Nukkad meetings will be organised, followed by drama and cultural activities during the campaign and the activists will be expected to cover 10 km per day.
A 'rath' (chariot) with several facilities will accompany the activists, the sources said.
On the fourth day, the journey will conclude at the headquarters of blocks followed by party convention.
