President of the club A Shanmugaraj said that the camp was part of an ongoing programme that aims to provide eye testing and surgery services free of cost to economically weaker sections of the society. This was the third camp in the last two months, he said. Shanmugaraj said that 250 people from areas in and around Saidapet were screened at the camp on Sunday. Twenty-two persons, who were found to have developed cataracts in their eyes, have been referred to the eye hospital for further treatment.
