Mumbai: Amongst the many disappointed fans who barely got a view of their favourite stars outside the Bachchans’ residence, Prateeksha was one Prakash Pandey.
Pandey is the sweetmeat shop owner from Kanpur who had lodged himself outside the bungalow with 51 kg of ladoos on Thursday.
He runs Thaggu Ke Laddoo, a famous sweet shop in Kanpur, which was even featured in the Abhishek-starrer Bunty Aur Babli.
With a van full of ladoos, Pandey requested to be let in and be part of the sangeet ceremony but he was turned away by the security personnel. After waiting for a long time, Thaggu mama, as he is lovingly called, decided to distribute his gift amongst the waiting mediapersons.
It seems that while shooting for Bunty Aur Babli Pandey had offered Abhishek some ladoos, which the actor relished. He claims Abhishek was so impressed that he even invited him over to his wedding to serve the sweets.
Although he wasn’t let into the celebrations, Pandey isn’t disappointed. He plans to be at the wedding venue on Friday with a fresh stock of ladoos.
So, Pandey has evidently kept his promise now only if Abhishek remembers his. Or else the mediapersons perched outside Prateeksha will be only too happy to oblige!
