Gen Bikram Singh's farewell dinner for Defence Minister

Army chief Gen Bikram Singh on Monday held a farewell dinner for Defence Minister AK Antony in New Delhi.

The Army Chief, who also heads the Chiefs of Staffs Committee, hosted the farewell dinner at the Akash Air Force officers' mess in New Delhi.

Senior military and civilian officers were present, Army officials said.

Antony, who had replaced Pranab Mukherjee as the Defence Minister in UPA-I government in 2006, is the longest-serving Defence Minister in the country.
