ASKA: A four-year-old boy died and seven other members of a family were injured after a cylinder exploded in their house at Karpura Nuagaon village under Aska police limits on Friday morning. While the deceased has been identified as Avishek Dalei, the injured includes his mother Tribeni besides other family members Mamajin Dalei and her son Ashutosh (5), Sumitra Dalei, Manju Dalei, Subasini Dalei and Suryaa Narayan Dalei. The condition of Mamajini and Tribeni, who received 70 percent burns, is stated to be critical. Sources said, a leakage in the LPG cylinder led to the explosion while cooking was on in the family. Firefighters from Aska rescued the injured and admitted them to Aska hospital. Later, seven of them with more than 50 percent burns were shifted to MKCG, Medical at Berhampur. On receiving information, Aska police rushed to the spot and inquired into the incident. A case has been registered.
