A person whacked his wife to death suspecting the latter’s fidelity and later committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Gavinivaripalem in Chirala mandal on Saturday. Police said, the accused, Charala Nageswara Rao married Venkateswaramma 15 years ago. Rao attacked his wife with a big stick when she was sleeping outside their house on Friday night. She died on the spot. Later, Rao consumed pesticide.
