New Delhi: CPI-M General Secretary Muppalla Lakshman Rao alias Ganapati is not just sought after by the police, but by netizens as well.

Ganapati has not been seen for many years, but a video of him has surfaced on the popular video share website, Youtube and is being widely viewed. The source of the video is still unkownn. Ganpati can be seen telling his men to resist forces and not to give up arms.

The Maoist leader hails from Beerpur village of Karimnagar district. The BEd graduate worked as a teacher in Karimnagar till he got attracted towards the Maoist Movement in the mid-70s.

The 59-year-old took over the reins of the party from its founder, Kondapalli Sitaramaiah, in 1991. Sitaramaiah was arrested by the police.

Sources say the video is part of a CD stash seized by police after a recent encounter.
