Two Naxalites on Wednesday were apprehended by the security forces conducting anti-Maoist operations and arms and ammunition seized from them in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh.
Officials said, the two belong to the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) Maoist cadre operational in the state and they have been identified as Arjun Singh and Bena Singh.
The two were nabbed by CRPF troops who along with state police forces were out for an operation in the Kathaldand area of the district.
Both the Maoists carried a reward of Rs 5,000 each for their arrest, they said.
Two pistols and four rounds of ammunition were seized from them, they said, adding they have been handed over to the local police for further interrogation.
