Sub-committee appointed for evaluation of Vizhinjam Project

The State Government has appointed a four-member sub-committee for the technical evaluation of the Vizhinjam project.

The committee members are M D Kudale, joint director (coastal engineering), Central Water and Power Research; K M Sivakholundu, scientist - F, Group Head, Coastal and Environment Engineering, National Institute of Ocean Technology; S Ajit, executive engineer and head member (environment) Vizhinjam International Seaport Limited (VISL) and chief technical officer, VISL.  The committee was formed for validating the reports and documents related to the master plan and Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) tender being prepared by Aecom.

They will also give inputs and assistance to the empowered committee on the EPC tender finalisation process for the Vizhinjam project.
