BANGALORE: The state government felicitated as many as 27 candidates among the 39 who excelled in the recent UPSC competitive examinations, at a glittering ceremony in the Vidhana Soudha here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa lauded the candidates and said, "Your feats have not only brought laurels to your parents but also to the people of the state."He advised the young IAS and IPS officers to strive hard to provide better governance both at the Centre and the state levels.

He appreciated the fact that candidates more and more candidates from the state are entering into the IAS and IPS cadre. "This will inspire others to take up the competitive examinations," he said. Chief Secretary S V Ranganath, who was also present, advised the acheivers to get along with people and work to match their expectations.
