Ganesh Chaturthi is known as Ganeshotsav, Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayagar Chaturthi.

People will soon celebrate the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi on September 7, which marks the birth anniversary of the Lord Ganesha. Amidst the preparations for this festival, according to the Local 18 Tamil, recipes of 2 delicacies are going viral. These are Poornam Kozhukattai and Corona Kozhukattai. These dishes can be cooked and savoured on the Ganesh Chaturthi.

To make the Corona Kozhukattai, you need to follow these steps:

1. You need rice flour, jaggery, a little salt, the required amount of water, some ghee, grated coconut for the pudding.

2. Pick basmati rice or sweet rice and soak them in water for half an hour.

3. Now, add some salt and ghee to the rice flour and pour boiling water into it. Knead it well to prepare the dough required to make the pudding.

4. Then, put the jaggery along with grated coconut in a pan. Once the coconut is fried, add some cardamom and ghee to it. You can also add the crushed peanuts and nuts of your choice to the mixture.

5. Now, take a ball of custard dough and then give it a round shape. Then, put the rolled pudding balls in the soaked rice and mix them.

6. If you steam these porridge balls with rice, you get a luscious Corona pudding.

To make Poornam Kozhukattai, follow these steps:

1. The same pudding dough used in the preparation of Corona Kozhukattai can be used for making the Poornam Kozhukattai.

2. This dough should be squeezed into a banana leaf as if it were for Idiyappam (a South Indian steamed dish with rice flour as the main ingredient). Now, place the filling in the middle of the Idiyappam, wrap it and steam it.

3. Ensure that it is cooked well and the Poornam Kozhukattai will be ready with a tasty filling. In the earlier days, this pudding was kept in a bamboo box and boiled. Due to this reason, this pudding came to be called box pudding.

Ganesh Chaturthi is known as Ganeshotsav, Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayagar Chaturthi. The celebrations during this festival last for 10 days and are celebrated throughout the country.
