Lee Joon-gi shared glimpses of his fun reunion with Park Bo-gum and IU on his Instagram handle.

South Korean actor and singer, Lee Joon-gi reunited with K-pop star Lee Ji-eun, known by her stage name IU. They were clicked backstage during IU’s world tour event in Seoul. Lee Joon-gi also shared pictures with Park Bo-gum, who attended IU’s concert as a surprise guest. Park Bo-gum captivated the crowd with heartfelt renditions of Let’s Go See the Stars and Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms.

Sharing the pictures on Instagram holding IU’s official lightstick, Joon-gi wrote, “I’m grateful to have a colleague who fills me up with inspiration! Please return safely after you deliver happiness~ wishing IU safe travels on her world tour.”

IU even remarked on the post that anytime the king appears, the performance goes well, citing his role as Prince Wang-so in their last drama.

Notably, Joon-gi and IU appeared together in a 2016 drama, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. IU played the role of a 21st-century girl named Go Ha-jin and Joon-gi played the role of Prince Wang-so from the year 941.

Additionally, IU and Bo-gum are all set to star in a highly-anticipated upcoming K-drama, When Life Gives You Tangerines.

Meanwhile, Joon-gi is regarded as one of the K-pop culture’s most prominent performers, having played noteworthy parts in Flower of Evil, Arang and the Magistrate, Iljimae, Arthdal Chronicles, Lawless Lawyer, and other dramas. His parts in the television series My Girl and the 2005 film The King and the Clown helped him become popular. Joon-gi last appeared in Arthdal Chronicles season 2, where he played twins.

On the other hand, in January, IU revealed the dates and venues for her 2024 world tour, H.E.R., which began at KSPO DOME in Seoul on March 2 and 3, followed by shows on March 9 and 10.

A total of 60,000 people attended the concerts, according to The Korea Times. IU enthralled the spectators for an incredible four hours and twenty minutes throughout the performance.

This marks IU’s first world tour in 16 years since she made her debut. The H.E.R. world tour, which includes visits to North America and 18 cities in countries including Japan, Taiwan and Singapore, is already sold out.

During the performance, the singer also made an unexpected revelation about an encore show that would take place in Seoul on September 21 and 22 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
