Deepika Padukone Shares Baby Bump Photo For The FIRST Time Weeks After Getting Trolled | Check Here

Deepika Padukone has finally shut down trolls questioning her baby bump. The actress, who is expecting her first child with Ranveer Singh, took to her Instagram stories on Wednesday evening to share a picture in which she was seen flaunting her baby bump. In the blurred photo, Deepika’s face wasn’t visible but she was seen posing in a black body-hugging outfit. Her baby bump was also clearly visible.

This comes weeks after Deepika Padukone was trolled when she stepped out to cast her vote and a section of netizens called her baby bump ‘fake’. On May 20th, Deepika was spotted when she arrived to cast her vote in the fifth phase of Mumbai Lok Sabha Election 2024. However, she was trolled by a section of users who made nasty comments about her baby bump.

Later, Ranveer Singh indirectly slammed trolls. He shared a picture of Deepika on his Instagram stories and wrote, “Buri nazar wale tera moonh kala” along with an evil-eye emoji.

A senior journalist, Faye D’Souza, penned a strongly-worded post on her official Instagram account and showed her solidarity with Deepika. In her post, Faye wrote, “Dear social media, Deepika Padukone stepped out to do her democratic duty and vote. She did not ask for your feedback on her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on any aspect of her life. Stop it. Behave.” Among others, Alia Bhatt was quick to like the post. In fact, Alia’s sisters Pooja Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt and her mother Soni Razdan liked the post too.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will soon be sharing the screen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. The shooting of the film is already underway.

Besides this, Deepika will also be seen in Kalki 2898 AD in which she will be sharing the screen with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. Talking about coming on board Kalki 2898 AD, Deepika Padukone earlier told Film Companion, “I have to say I’m nervous because when the camera rolls it will feel like a familiar territory but I have not worked with Prabhas before. I have not worked with Nag Ashwin before. I’ll also have to do this in a different language apart from doing it in Hindi so there’s all of these things, plus it’s such a VFX heavy film. Even just the character and the world, all of it is so new for me. But I’m also excited.”
