Munawar Faruqui has confirmed his marriage to Mehzabeen Coatwala. Though they have not posted couple photos or ones from their wedding, they frequently drop hints about their marital bliss. On Monday, Munawar posted a photo holding Mehzabeen’s mehendi-clad hand, with their children – Munawar’s son and Mehzabeen’s daughter – sitting across the table. Last week, Mehzabeen praised Munawar on her Instagram stories, sharing a picture from his recent stand-up act in Dubai and writing, “Proud of you @munawarfaruqui,” with a red heart emoji. Munawar re-shared it with a heart emoji.

Reports suggest that Munawar and Mehzabeen tied the knot on May 26, 2024, in an intimate ceremony attended by family. The first photos of the couple surfaced last week, showing them cutting a cake together. Munawar wore a white shirt with brown pants, while Mehzabeen looked stunning in a purple sharara suit, reportedly from their secret wedding. Mehzabeen, a makeup artist by profession, is reportedly a divorcee and mother to a 10-year-old girl.

On Friday, Munawar made his first public appearance days after getting married to Mehzabeen. In a video that surfaced on social media, the Bigg Boss 17 winner was seen getting papped when he blushed as the photographers congratulated him on his second wedding. “Thank you,” he said as paps wished him on his “new life”.

Later, a report by Times Now claimed that Hina Khan played cupid for Munawar and Mehzabeen. “Hina Khan introduced Munawar to Mehazabeen. Two months ago, at an event, Hina sent Mehazabeen to Munawar for his makeup. They met for the first time at that event,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed. It also reported that Hina attended the wedding ceremony as well.

Prior to Mehzabeen, Munawar Faruqui was married to Jasmine, with whom he also has a six-year-old son named Mikael. The comedian first opened up about his son in Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp. Last year, Munawar also talked about his son with Mannara Chopra while they were in the Bigg Boss 17 house. “I have been with someone for the past two years. I was in a marriage in 2017 and in 2020 we got separated. Last year our divorce was finalised. Amid all this, the best thing about my life is my son. He is 5 years old and stays with me,” he had said.
