Popular actor Thalapathy Vijay is all set with this upcoming release GOAT- The Greatest of All Time. Fans are eagerly waiting to watch the actor as it is all set to hit the theatres on September 5. The crew of the member is presently busy with the promotion of the film. Director Venkat Prabhu recently visited Malaysia for this same reason. According to a report by News 18 Malayalam, the film GOAT was initially set to feature Rajinikanth and Dhanush in the lead roles. Rajinikanth was supposed to play the father, while Dhanush was chosen to play the son. The director, Venkat, had reportedly crafted the storyline with these two actors in mind. However, after learning about de-aging technology, which can make characters appear younger, the decision was made to cast Vijay instead. The director then reportedly adjusted the story to fit Vijay’s role. There is no official confirmation of this change.

In GOAT, Vijay will portray two characters: Gandhi, a hostage negotiator, and Gandhi’s son, Jeevan. The plot revolves around Gandhi, who works for the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS), an organisation that collaborates with RAW and is based in Chennai. After retirement, Gandhi and his team faced issues related to their past missions. The film follows their journey as they confront and resolve these challenges.

The film is set to have its first show at 4 AM in Karnataka and Kerala. In Tamil Nadu, the first-day first show of GOAT is scheduled for 9 AM.

GOAT also features a star-studded cast, including Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, Kaniha, Sneha, Prashanth, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Laila, Vaibhav Reddy, Premgi Amaren, and Aravind Akash. The cinematography is by Siddhartha Nuni, with Yuvan Shankar Raja handling the editing.
