'Parched' trailer: Four women 'parched' for freedom will make you question the existing societal norms

Written and directed by Leena Yadav, 'Parched' narrates the story of four women Rani, Lajjo, Bijli and Janaki from rural Indian village. Set in the backdrop of Gujarat's rural landscape, the women defying conventional norms in order to remove themselves from servitude is not just a fresh concept but the way it has been showcased in the trailer; it definitely grips from the beginning. As the trailer progresses, their struggle with the hackles of life and their urge to set themselves free also deepens. The film was premiered at Toronto International Film Festival 2015.
